Sharkie's in Town

Back when our little Sharkie was just an amateur, she would take bites like this:

and make piles of skins like this:

(annoyed at having her ritual disturbed by a camera),
and end up with a victim like this:

Now she has mastered her craft, performing precise, methodical, premeditated chomps.

You'd better watch out.

Sharkie's in town.

She will take a bite out of you AND your whiffle ball.

Our Girls

Pictures like this make me teary-eyed.

I just love our little girls and the evidence of our time spent together.

(Yes, you CAN reuse a swim diaper!  Just wash it in the washing machine and hang to dry.  Who knew?)

A Find

A few weeks ago while helping the girls clean out their room, I came across a mysterious piece of paper:

I was curious to know which one of our darling-dears would leave such a treasure on the bedroom floor!

I mean, the room was a dump as it was before we cleaned it!

No pun intended.

This person will remain unnamed, but I am aghast!

No pun intended.

You think you are raising lovely girls, and then you run across this kind of crap.

No pun intended.

Really, when I saw this paper, I wanted to flush it down the toilet!

No pun intended.

But instead I turned the other cheek.

No pun intended.

Okay, I better end this post.  Tomorrow I will resume posts that are regular.

(No pun intended.)

Emery's Hairshop

These pictures were taken last Fall . . .

There's nothing better than spending a morning with these two.

Odds and Ends

It's been awhile.  Here's how Emery's cute little face has grown and changed the past several months.  She's all personality these days.

Here is another of Choobies being "helpful," polishing and buffing the hammer.  I've never seen a hammer so shiny.

Here's Madeline modeling her new shoes, made with love by Dallas.

Let's get a close-up of those puppies:

Madeline sure has gotten big, too . . .

I don't have a picture of Raleigh, but I see where she makes her self known everywhere I turn.  The girls began taking ballet lessons last month, and we bought hair nets for their ballet buns.  Here is what Raleigh did with the packaging after a morning of watching "Cinderella."  I thought she did a pretty good job!  She even "sent" it to me in the mail.

Someday I will devote an entire blog to Raleigh's creations, but for now, here is another one.  All of her projects are quick an purposeful.  This one was finished in about 15 minutes:
It is a felt game she made for Emery with shapes to play with and trees for the house, etc.  The door opens and closes.  She's such a fun sister!

At this orthodontist's office (Raleigh's, in case you were wondering.  But why were you wondering?  It's always Raleigh.  Dear Santa, please send Raleigh reams and reams of paper . . . )  uh hem.  At this orthodontist's office, you can pick out any sample of braces you would like to put on yourself and any stuffed animal you own.  And you will also be served non-alcoholic cocktails while you are waiting.

A few months ago I came out of my room to find Emery in the sink with the water on.  Yikes!

Our princess Kensington, all tuckered-out after putting together a really hard puzzle - she fell asleep.

Raleigh, Madeline, and Kensington set the table "fancy: for us with fresh pickings from the yard.

Madeline was so happy after her "Cottage Crafting Christmas" birthday party.  It was so fun (and eventful).  Emery began her bout with the stomach-flu mid-party.  Good thing Dallas was home!

Scones!!

Emery, impersonating Choobies.  hee hee

Kensington and I went through about a week's-worth of Go Fish and pudding with milk after preschool.  It was lots of fun.  She's ruthless.

Okay, and one more Raleigh creation.  She found some Christmas decorations stashed in my closet and decided that these hydrangeas needed to be festive.  She makes me tired!
