Trunk or Treat 2012

Remember these little goblins in 2010?

Here they are at the same location this year, plus our little Emery.

Who makes her debut this year as a Christmas tree.  The rest of us are Santa's elves.

Kensington is the Candy Cane Elf.  (And so is her dolly.  She made the costume herself.)  She is in charge of making candy canes for all of the children on Christmas Eve.

Raleigh is the Jingle Bell Elf.  She helps Santa with the reindeer.

Madeline is the Baker Elf.  She makes all of the gingerbread cookies and other yummy treats.

Let's get a close-up of that tree's cute face.

Dallas is just an elf.  Let's call him "Elfie."

And I didn't finish my own costume in time, but this is good enough!

Happy Halloween!

Measured

Raleigh has done it.

I think she's the first grandkid . . . at least in our family . . .

to have been "measured for a coffin."

This was the last of the pictures because things became a little chaotic after Madeline wrote down that last number!

(Funny, Dad, that you are the measuring-man after our family-reunion-via-email discussion.  I wonder what your measurements will be . . . )

Guess Who's Coming?

This smiling grandpa in this picture is coming to grace us with his presence on Wednesday night, and we couldn't be more excited!  The girls are counting down to days until they see their special Grandpa Ray.  He always likes to treat the girls, and he is always interested in each one and how they are doing.  He calls himself an "equal opportunity grandpa."  (Doesn't want to play favorites.)

We'll miss Grandma Lisa, but she'll be busy at school.

She's in her second year at law school, and we are so proud of her!

Does Dallas look like his dad or what??

See you soon, Ray!

Kensington's 5th Birthday

We celebrated Kensington's 5th birthday by swimming with my parents . . . wait.  Why do I not see Mom and Dad in the water??  Because it was freezing!
But the girls had fun.

Raleigh thought it was hilarious when Kensington got stuck in a couple of tubes.  It was hilarious.

Kisses.

We went back to the house for ice cream.  The house was still in renovation, and they've done an amazing job on it!

Choobers was happy.

For our celebration at our house, we had a "Princess Mermaid Party," and I forgot to take a picture of the fancy poster I made, but here is what Kensington did to decorate the cake mix.

A pretty necklace from Madeline!

Let's get a close-up.

Hugs.

A purse from Grandma Lisa and Grandpa Ray.  She said, "I am going to carry this around until I die."

And she pretty much has.  And she's still alive.

More fun stuff.

Birthday cake

Happy Birthday, Choobers!!
