A Quote from the Critter

In honor of Mother's Day, Dallas, being the gentlemanly chap that he is, fixed lunch and dinner for all of us girlies. During lunch, the smoke alarm only went off one time, but we did have to open some windows to air everything out. While he was fixing pancakes for dinner, Madeline was in the other room with me, saying her prayers. Hearing him say something about burning one of the pancakes, she added in her prayer, "Please help the food not to get burnt. But my dad accidentally burned it, but I don't care." We have been working on being more thoughtful in our prayers.

Ah, Motherhood.

Sweet, Sweet Kensington, with your tender spirit, contagious smiles, and constant sunshine,
Madeline, with your gift of laughter, intensity of life, and charm,
And Raleigh, with your incredible sensitivity, quiet thoughtfulness, and giving spirit,
you have given me the gift of motherhood. And I love you for it.

Beautiful Rikki on Her Wedding Day!

Rikki and Kevin had such a beautiful wedding. It was almost a month ago, but hey, we're about a month behind in life right now. Dionne's mom made all of the dresses- Rikki's, Dionne's, hers, Raleigh's, Madeline's, Kensington's . . . She and Kevin were married in the Jordan River Temple.
Rikki just radiates! I don't know if she could even feel how cold it was outside- she was so happy!
The reception was held at Kevin's brother Jeff's art studio in SLC. Lot's of atmosphere, great friends and family, and wonderful food! Here's Rikki with Stephanie.

Wedding PIcs

Madeline & Raleigh loved running in the grass at the Jordan River temple. It was a gorgeous day- a little chilly, though. Running around kept the girls warm- at least for a little while.

Enjoying Our Family . . .

Our 1st All-American Green Ball Tournament

We were really hyper one night and held a contest to see who could stay on the exercise ball the longest without touching the ground. Here's Raleigh- she had some pretty sweet moves.

Madeline never made it off the ground.
This was Dionne's signature move. Nevermind the girls' closet exploding in the background.

Quit showing off, Dallas! Of course, he was the winner, but Dionne was a close second!

Lammy Joins Us for Lunch

Raleigh takes such good care of her lamb. He even got to eat lunch with us. Today Raleigh asked, "Why are dinosaurs stinky?" And I asked, "Stinky?" Then she said, "Yeah. You said that dinosaurs stink." And then I said, "Extinct, Raleigh. Ex-TINCT." Which reminds me, today Madeline told me that I have a lot of molars. Molars? "Yeah, all over your tummy." WHAT? "Oh, MOLES. Yeah, moles." Now we know why our kids seem to be clueless sometimes when we talk to them. Because I have a lot of molars and dinosaurs are stinky.
